20th April 08 - Coaches View

Overall a really good effort throughout the game.
 
Positives
 
- Good team effort.
- Some good passing.
- You trying your best going despite the score right to the end.
 
Learning points
 
- We must attack the ball when heading
- When somebody is going to shoot we need to get close and block the shot
 
Captain player of the match -John, excellent tackling, good defending for the team
Coaches Player of the match -Keir, good passing, worked very hard for the team.

30th March - Coaches View

A disappointing first half, much better effort in the 2nd.
 
Positives
  • We proved in the 2nd Half the the right approach to game makes a big difference.

Learning Points

 

  • We need to work on basics, keeping your eye on the ball, looking up when passing.

Captains player of the match - Ryan, excellent defending and talking to the rest of the team.

Excellent all round performance, good passing and attacking play.
 
Positives
 
- Good passing
- Midfield tracked back well
- Good blocks by the defence

- To play with the same attitude every week

2nd March 08 -Coaches View

Excellent first half performance, we just need to carry that into the whole game.
 
Positives
 
- Good team play in the first half, we created several chances against a good side
 
Learning Points
 
- We need to keep trying our best right to the end
- Defenders need to ensure they don't play the other team on side
- Use the ball in midfield, look up and pass.

Coaches Player of the match - Chris Stong, good marking, chasing back and tackling

24th Feb -Coaches View

Our second half performance was one of our best for a couple seasons. Good passing, everyone played in their position, strong tackling.

  • Some excellent passing movements against a good team
  • Despite losing you never gave up
Learning Points
 
  • Tackle the same way from the start of the game
  • Believe in yourselves, you proved how well you can play today.

Directions:
The entrance Lowfield Road is on the B4014 Tetbury to Avening road about 3/4 mile out of Tetbury on the right hand side. Signposted 'Leisure Centre'

Follow the road on through to the end [about 1/4 mile]and the SWR School entrance can be found on the right. Parking is on the right as you enter the school premises.

10th Feb - Coaches View

Excellent game, passed the ball very well making 100 passes which equalled our previous record.
 
Positives
 
  • We passed the ball well
  • Created lots of chances
Learning Points
 
  • When you have a tight angle to shoot at goal pull the ball back to other players
  • Keep to your positions, the 2nd goal was conceded because of this.
Captains Player of the Match - Gareth, worked really hard for the team, chased back and made tackles and showed good skill in beating players.
 
Coaches Player of the Match - Harry, played the midfield position really well, not only won lots of tackles but also passed the ball well.

27th Jan 08 -Coaches View

Excellent all round performance, when attacking you all made good use of the ball, some of the passing moves were the best I have seen from the team.
 
Positives
  • Excellent all round effort from every player in the team
  • Good simple passing made all the difference to our attacking play.
Learning Points
  • We need to charge down the other teams shots rather than stand back and watch.
  • Timing of our tackles is key, we will work on this in training.
 
Captains Player of the match - Ben - Didn't give up chasing the ball against the other teams defence and made a goal with a good pass.
Coaches Player of the Match - Keilan - Made some excellent tackles plus made good use of the ball with his passes.

Huge improvement over last week, everyone making good tackles, staying in position and giving their best.
 
Positives
 
  • Attitude today was exactly what I want
  • We created lot's of chances
Learning Points
 
  • Everyone needs to head to attack the ball at defensive corners, too many players avoid the ball.
  • Practice our shooting
Captains player of the match -Guy, made lots of tackles and worked hard for the team.
 
Coaches player of the game - Keir, excellent performance, used the ball well and won lots of tackles.

6th Jan 08 - Coaches View

Playing football requires everybody to tackle and try their best, not enough players did that today. We must never play like that again. I expect every player to try their best from the start to the end of every game, no matter what the score.
 
Positives
  • Improvement in the 2nd half performance
Learning Points
  • The right attitude is needed from arrival to start training to the kick off of the game
  • No matter how you are playing you should always try your best

John Reeves - Tried his best, made lots of tackles and used the ball well

Guy Berwick - Put a lot of effort into the game, chased back, helped the forwards, made some good tackles.
